The PCI-DSP AE boards are connected by both the system PCI bus and direct DSP-DSP port parallel communication, building a powerful, distributed processing, intelligent, front-end, leaving the PC to handle storage, graphics, networking, and operator interaction.
DiSP systems have independent AE channels each with 16-bit resolution, 10MSPS sampling, 2MHz bandwidth, four High Pass and four Low Pass software controlled filters, Auto Sensor Test, and pre-amplifier power. On each board a 32-bit floating point DSP, and FPGA feature extraction, provide the processing power.
Optional waveform module provides a parallel waveform processing function with its own 32-bit DSP. Each board has optional four instrumentation inputs (16-bit, x1 to x1000 gain, offset, and filter, for LVDT, strain gauge etc) , and four 16-bit 10KHz AD inputs. Direct connection to the PCI bus ensures rapid data transfer, no intermediate bus to slow down transfer (Direct PCI ~50% faster than PCMCIA).
Any PC with a full-size industry standard PCI slot will take the PCI-AE system board.
MicroDiSP chassis: Takes either one or two PCI-DSP AE boards, providing 4 or 8 AE channels, plus four instrumentation inputs (for LVDT, strain gauge etc) , and four 16-bit AD inputs. Connects to a notebook PC via its PCMCIA port. Optional 7-15 volt operation.
DiSP-24 chassis: Takes 1-6 PCI-DSP system boards, 4-24 AE channels. Activity LED's, audio, network, CD, and built-in keyboard.
DiSP-56 chassis: Takes 1-13 PCI-DSP system boards, 4-56 AE channels. Activity LED's, audio, CD, and network.
